Happy Easter!

Happy Easter!

Hoping everyone had a wonderful day, because we had a great day filled with lots of laughs and sunshine!

We spent a lot of the day in the pool- and Savannah was SO happy! Even just a 2ft. pool can make her giggle and splash like you've never seen.
We spent the entire day at home, had a wonderful breakfast and lunch, and as we were getting ready for dinner, Miss Savannah got so tired, she wanted to go to bed. It was unusually early to fall asleep... but we had a great Easter dinner as a couple!

She started cutting in her top left tooth 2 days ago, and just today and the top right tooth is coming through, too!

Lots of teeth, lots of drool!

Happy Easter, and hope you celebrate everything that is so special in your life!
.... for us, it's a beautiful baby, a handsome husband, and a very happy life.
oh, so blessed!

Savannah's evenings...

After her dinner is all eaten up,
and we've gone on our nightly neighborhood stroll,
we head back to our house,
and little Savannah gets on a roll....

barbecuing with dad...
drinking wine with mom...
making phone calls...
jumping around...
playing peek-a-boo...
and of course,
dancing naked!

cruisin

Windows down.
Cruising on the interstate.
Hair blowing like crazy.

peas

They say a great 'first food' for babies is peas. Well I tried that advice, right from the beginning, and introduced pureed peas to Savannah. It ended up with vomiting. over and over again.
Since then I have tried them here and there, and she immediately stops eating and spits them out. So I tried yet again... and something totally changed!
She LOVES them now, but instead of pureeing them, I cook them whole and give them to her as a finger food. She gobbles them up with her little fingers and quickly shovels them into her mouth. Who ever knew her tastes would change to quickly?!

ooh yummy, i see peas!
yum, yum, yum!
now she loves them.
and ate them all...
and freaked out when they were all gone!
more, peas, more!

go, go, go!

Savannah is on the go... crawling all over the house, opening drawers, closing doors, and getting into everything!!
Her favorites of the week include emptying mom's purse, bouncing balls and screaming at the top of her lungs.

ooh, what to wear?!
these are the ones i want!
ahhh! loud scream!
ooh yummy, i found my hairbrush!
would you like to have some!?

hump day.

I was always told when I was younger that time will fly by so much faster as you get older.
And it's so true.

But nobody ever said once you have a baby that the time will really fly by faster.
I can't believe it's Wednesday- the middle of the week- and it just felt like the weekend!

Savannah keeps me very busy every day, but we are always doing something fun, exploring new things, and of course, laughing, learning and loving!

She is feeling better (finally!) and no need for any medication or the nebulizer. Her appetite is coming back and her energy level is abnormally high (or that is because of her parents!)

We enjoy going to mommy 'n' me classes, going to the grocery store, and taking walks around the neighborhood.

Savannah's current favorites are: climbing on anything-and practicing going up the stairs, shaking anything very fast in her hands, free falling into pillows(or anything soft!), dropping everything on the floor just so she can hear 'uh-oh', happily saying hello or goodbye with the cutest little wave!

A couple of pics from the weekend... because it's Wednesday already...

Daddy's girl.
he is just happy she has on the hat.
a callaway hat.
a box full of bows.
and one little head.
now full of bows.

wonderful weekends....

It has been over two weeks and both mom and Savannah are still sick.
I am still extremely congested, but can now taste! I have been enjoying the Easter candy I brought from Florida- whoppers robins eggs and jelly beans! Yummy! Savannah even likes the pink jelly beans!
Savannah has been a trooper over the past couple of weeks. She has a bad cough and a runny nose, but she is still extremely happy and keeps us laughing!

Scott and I went out for a lunch date today (surprise, SUBWAY!) and we bought Savannah a bikini- it was so cute we came home and had her model it, and then go for a dip in the pool!

We have been giving her nebulizer treatments to also help with her RSV and at first she hated them, but now quietly relaxes while the mask gives her medicine.

We are both hoping to get better, but we are so happy we have the weekends to be together as a family- to relax, cook good food, be outside, and just be with the ones we love.

Savannah and her sidekick... Toby!
She loves to smile,
and show off her two teeth!
